The Western Star was the largest of the post war yachts  and was therefore the most expensive. Consequently they are quite rare especially in this condition. The wonderful thing about this particular yacht is that since new it has been stored in its original box.
The hull has its original paintwork and transfers. There is some paint loss on the keel otherwise the hull is as it came out of the factory.
The rig is also complete and original. The sails are as they were made with just a few slight stains. All the fittings, spars. bowsies and hooks are original. Even the rigging is original.
The original box has got wet at some point so one end has some damage but the Star tape is still present.
The yacht also has its original stand and its sailing instructions.
