The Western Star was the largest of the post war SB "Super Bermuden" range of yachts.

This yacht dates from the last couple of years of production when they used coloured sail cloth.

The hull has its original paintwork of white with blue rubbing strake, rudder and ballast. She is in very good condition but she has been sailed. There is a mark on the bow, some paint loss on the keel and a few paint chips on the transom. The Western Star transfers are perfect.

The deck has all its original fittings including the self steering gear. The varnish is original. The transfer is perfect and there are plank lines drawn on the deck.

The yacht appears to have suffered some UV exposure over the years, so the sails have faded slightly and there is some damage to the varnish on the port deck edge. It has been revarnished at some point.

The rig is all original and the sails are in very good condition with just some waterstains. There are no holes or tears. The spars, bowsies, hooks and rigging are all original and in perfect order. The stamp on the mainsail has faded slightly

The stand is original from the factory and is included in the sale.

This yacht is in really good order and as the largest of post war production is very collectable.
