"B" Boats were made by the British Yacht and Model Co in Fulham Road London. They operated in the 1930's but may have survived until after the war.

They are probably best known for their speedboats but they also manufactured  a range of racing yachts.

This particular yacht has been raced. She has a racing number of 707 on her mainsail.

The hull is the usual construction of a beautifully made metal hull and keel with a mahogany deck.

As she has been sailed there are some areas of paintloss especially at the bow, transom and on the ballast. The deck is in good condition with its original varnish and transfer.

The sails are original and in good condition with some stains and some foxing but no holes or tears.

It appears that, at some point, the spars may have been replaced and the rigging has been renewed.

"B" Boats are one of the lesser known manufacturers of the 1930's. Good examples are now difficult to find. They were very well made with good lines and, in their original paint, like this one, are very attractive yachts.

The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.
