This pond yacht is called "Joan" and is in lovely decorative condition.
She appears to have been carved from solid with a separate hardwood deck.
The hull is in good order with very attractive lines. There are a couple of cracks on the keel but they are in the paint. The keel is secure.
The paintwork on the hull and stand is original but is distressed to give a wonderful patina. She has lovely name plaques on the bows.
The deck has its original varnish with plank lines drawn on it. All the fittings are original with a lovely faux cabin top. It cannot be over emphasized the high standard of all the fittings. The brass bowsprit holder and bow protector are beautifully made. The cabin top has brass portholes and bars. There is a hardwood toerail which has a couple of cracks.
The spars, including the bowsprit, are all original with lovely brass fittings. The sails are all egyptian cotton but are unlikely to be original. However, they are in very good condition with no holes or tears and just a few stains.
With a sailplan which includes a topsail and a flying jib and original paintwork, this is a very decorative yacht indeed.
