This very attractive pond yacht was made by Alexander of Preston.

Not unusually for an Alexander she has been sailed extensively. She was purchased from a gentleman who was given her by his father in the 1950's when he was 7 years old. He sailed her for many years and then  stored her in the attic, bringing her out from time to time for display.

He stated that the paintwork above the waterline is original but below he repainted.

All of the deck fittings are present and original including the sheet horses and the braine steering. The deck has its original varnish but there are some marks in the varnish.

The spars are original, alloy, and painted black. The owner said that he had repainted them as the original paintwork had become chipped from sailing.

All the hooks and bowsies are original but most of the rigging has been renewed.

Remarkably the sails are original. They are in very good condition with just some stains but no holes or tears. There is a repair at the head of the mainsail which also has the owners name written on it close to the clew. There is also a mark in the middle of the mainsail.

The stand is original Alexander & Son and is included in the sale if required.

She is a beautiful yacht with the wonderful quality hull shape you expect from Alexander and sons.
