This lovely pond yacht was made by Alexander of Preston.

Not unusually for an Alexander she has been sailed extensively. So now, whilst she can be displayed, she would also benefit from some restoration.

The hull is in good condition and the paintwork, of cream and blue, is original but there are numerous marks and some paintloss on the leading edge of the hull and on the ballast hull joint. The joint is secure.

The deck has its original finish but this would benefit from a revarnish as there are patches of wear.

All the deck fittings are original including the braine steering and the bow protector. However, many of them have verdigris.

The rig is complete and generally in good condition. However, the spars have some corrosion and would benefit from being repainted. Also the hooks have verdigris.

The sails are in good order but they are not original. Having said that they were obviously replaced some time ago, whilst she was still sailing, as there are a couple of rust stains and the cringles have verdigris.

Please have a good look at the photos regarding the overall condition.

She is a very attractive yacht even in her distressed condition but if you are looking for a worth while restoration project then please give her your serious consideration.

She is offered at a price commensurate with her condition.

The stand is not original but in the design of Alexander & Son and is included in the sale if required.
