Bassett-Lowke sold the Iolanthe and Iolanthe II motor launches during the 1930's.

This particular launch  could be displayed as she is, but it could be argued that she would benefit from restoration.

The paintwork is original above the waterline but below it, and on the deck, she has been repainted. The original Bassett-Lowke transfer on the stern is present and correct.

The motor is original BL electric. It has not been tested.

The prop and rudder are origina but the tiller has been replacedl.

Please have a good look at the photos  as they give a good idea of the overall condition and will help you decide whether or not to restore.

We would suggest that she is a very decorative and striking motor launch as she is.

The launch is mounted in a robust wooden box which protected her for many years in the barn from which she was retrieved.

A rare opportunity irrespective whether you decide to restore or not.
