Large bar keel yachts appear to have popular at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th. With its rudder included in the keel this particular yacht is probably an early example.

It was very much a design intended for racing and most had large gaff rigs with topsails and multiple headsails.

This yacht is sound with a lovely hullshape. The hull is hollowed with a separate hardwood deck. The name "Coo-ee" is enscribed on the deck with some other scratch marks which suggest she came from Glasgow.

The deck fittings are original but need attention The paintwork is poor and she would benefit from a repaint. There is a bowsprit but it is not original.

If you would like further details or photos of particular areas of the yacht please do not hesitate to ask.

The stand is mahogany but it is scruffy and basic.

It is included in the sale if required.
